What Other Beauty Bloggers Have Taught Me

As a beauty blogger, I love sharing what I know and what works best for me when it comes to makeup, skincare, etc. I pride myself on being mostly self-taught, but I have definitely learned a thing or two over the years from fellow beauty bloggers. That’s one thing that I really love about this community – that we’re able to help each other by sharing tips and all of our individual experiences.

Things I’ve Learned From Other Beauty Bloggers

  • You don’t have to wear a full face of makeup every day
  • Taking care of your skin really is important
  • We all have a tendency to forget to wash our makeup brushes
  • You can’t go wrong with a good mascara and a tinted lip balm
  • Don’t be afraid to try something new – whether it be a new brand, routine, or shade of lipstick
  • We all hoard more products than we can use
  • Natural skincare can work wonders for your skin
  • You can feel beautiful and confident leaving the house without an speck of makeup on your face
  • There is always at least one other person dealing with the same skin concerns as you
  • We all went through that phase of wearing way too much *insert makeup product here* (mine was black eyeliner, haha!)
  • It’s okay to be obsessed with beauty products and making yourself look good – it does not mean your are vain, self-absorbed, or have low self-esteem
  • You will, most likely, always be searching for the next “holy grail” product
  • Everyone looks cute in red lipstick, you just have to find the right shade for you
  • It pays to invest in a good skincare routine, as well as great base products
