Well, the Sephora Spring Sale has come and gone, and it’s safe to say I definitely took advantage of the discounts. After saving up for a couple months, I was able to get a bunch of new things off my wish list that I have been wanting to try out. I always love seeing what other people get, so I thought I would share a haul of what I picked out along with a few first impressions.
One of the first things that entered my cart was the Amrezy Highlighter from Anastasia Beverly Hills. After seeing swatches of this online and hearing nothing but good things from fellow bloggers, I knew I had to pick it up. I swatched it on the back of my hand when it arrived yesterday, and oh my gosh. This is one of the most gorgeous highlighters I’ve seen! It’s a nice white gold that doesn’t look too yellow, so I’m actually able to wear it on my pale skin without looking crazy.
The next thing that went immediately into my cart was the new Tiger Grass Camo Drops that just came out as part of Dr. Jart’s Cicapair line. I’ve been using their Cicapair Cream as my nighttime moisturizer when my skin is being particularly sensitive/flushed and it’s been working out so well, so I knew I had to give the Camo Drops a try. I’m going to use it to prime my skin before makeup, so we’ll see how it works out.
Two purchases that I made were all because of Kate so, naturally, I’m totally blaming her for these. She’s been wearing shimmery shades on her lower lash line lately, which seems like an oddly specific thing to be aware of but it actually looks really pretty. She’s been achieving the look using shimmery eyeshadow sticks, so I decided to pick up a few of the Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks to try out this look for myself. I also picked up the First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo from IGK. I’ve been wanting to give this brand a try ever since seeing Kate mention it on Instagram, and this new product sounded way too good to pass up.
I’ve finally gotten around to picking up some goodies from Milk Makeup. I went with their Flex Concealer in Fair because I’ve heard nothing but good things about it from Kelsey, and then I also picked up the new Watermelon Brightening Serum because 1) it looks super cute 2) I’m loving all things watermelon for skincare right now and 3) you can never have too many serums. When I got my package in the mail, I was super impressed by the size of their products. The serum is way bigger than I thought it would be and the concealer is big enough that it comes with its own wand applicator!
After seeing everyone and their mother freak out over it, I decided I needed to get my hands on the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask. This is supposed to be a holy grail product for dry, tired skin, so I’m excited to see how it holds up to all of the hype. I did try a little bit on the back of my hand when it arrived, and it made my skin feel so incredibly hydrated.
Another crazily hyped up product I ended up getting is the Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder from BECCA. I saw Tati review this and then heard good things from my friend Kelsey, so it was pretty much a no-brainer to pick it up. The thought of a cooling, water-like powder to help set my makeup just sounded too cool not to try out.
The last two items that I picked up from the sale are both things that aren’t quite as new and exciting as the others, but they’ve been on my wish list for such a long time that I finally had to give them a shot. First there’s the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream in Fair. So many people have recommended this as a hydrating base that offers great coverage, so I’m excited to finally test it out for myself. I also picked up the Sunday Riley Juno Face Oil, which is something I’ve been meaning to try for ages. This is the first Sunday Riley product that I’ll be trying, so I’m really hopeful that it lives up to all of the hype that I’ve built up in my mind, haha.
Did you pick up anything new from the Sephora sale?
