It’s Skin Tiger Cica Gel Cream & Moisturizing Balm (+ giveaway!)

It's Skin Tiger Cica Gel Cream & Moisturizing Balm | A Girl, Obsessed

I participated in this sponsored campaign for It’s Skin on behalf of One2One Network. All opinions stated are my own.

One thing I’ve really been enjoying lately is trying out different Korean skincare brands. There’s just something about the products that these types of companies make that my skin really takes to, plus their packaging and ingredients are always so unique. I recently got contacted by a skincare brand called It’s Skin to review some of their products, and I jumped at the chance to see how they would work out for my skin type and if they hold up to their claims.

The two products from It’s Skin that I was most excited to try out were the Tiger Cica Gel Cream* and the Tiger Cica Moisturizing Balm* because of one specific thing. Centella asiatica, also known as “tiger grass”, is an ingredient showing up more and more in skincare lately, and is the prominent item in both of these moisturizers. It’s a plant that grows in China and is known for it’s healing, soothing properties. The name “tiger grass” is inspired by Asian tigers rolling in Centella asiatica to soothe wounds. The cool thing about Centella asiatica is that it’s really good for sensitive skin (which I definitely have). It’s gentle and soothing, and that’s something I’ve absolutely experienced with both products.

The Tiger Cica Gel Cream* is a light, soothing gel that strengthens the skin barrier, and restores and moisturizes skin. I’ve been using this for the past two weeks as my daytime moisturizer and it’s been working so great for me. It’s very light and soaks into the skin almost immediately, while still leaving the skin feeling soft and hydrated. There’s also a great soothing benefit which helps calm the redness on my cheeks and forehead. One thing that I really like is that this doesn’t make my skin look oily after a few hours, which is a problem I sometimes have with other daytime moisturizers.

For my nightly routine, I’ve been using the Tiger Cica Moisturizing Balm*. This has a creamy, silky texture without feeling greasy at all. It’s very rich so it’s perfect for nighttime use, especially since I sleep with a fan on. I’ve noticed that with this moisturizer, I wake up to incredibly soft skin that hasn’t been dried out from the constant airflow. This balm works great for all skin types, especially for sensitive to dry skin. Again, I definitely noticed that this helped calm the redness that my skin usually has, and was always a soothing final step during my skincare routine.

Along with the two moisturizers, the team over at It’s Skin also sent me some of their other skincare items to try out. They make these Cookie & Hand Creams* that are literally like dessert for the hands. Cookie & Hand Cream is rich in nutrients to nourish, refresh, and brighten the hands and body. They come in delicious scents like Vanilla, Mint, and Strawberry, and fun cookies and cream packaging to carry wherever you go. Each hand cream contains soft cookie chip pieces that melt when massaged – leaving the skin soft and smooth but never greasy. With the look and smell of actual cookies and cream, these hand creams contains super moisturizing and nourishing ingredients like Macadamia Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter, and Sweet Almond Oil.

As well as skincare, It’s Skin also has some cute makeup items to choose from. They offer Macaron Lip Balms*, which are delightful balms that are lightly scented and formulated with shea butter and cocoa butter to keep your lips soft, nourished and healthy all day. Then there’s the Macaron Cream Filling Cheek Colors*, a sweet peach scented cream-to-powder blush that comes in 6 shades: Cassis BerryCherry BlossomApricot Jam, Coral Chou, Rose Caramel, and Apple Cinnamon. powder blushes also work as a moisturizing lip balm, which makes the cheeks look lovely as it softly melts onto the skin like a sweet macaron filling.

I LOVE Korean skincare – I got into it during my study abroad in Korea. I haven’t tried IT’S SKIN specifically, but I would love to! These sound like great products.
