I’m somewhat sad about this post because it’s the last of my Christmas content for the year, but I’m super excited to share the things I got from my family this year. I was a little unsure whether or not to do this post, but after asking you guys on Instagram if you’d like to see it, I received an almost unanimous “yes!” I love getting to see what other people got for Christmas, so hopefully you guys will enjoy my little haul as well.
Merry Christmas everyone! I’ll be taking the next few days off to enjoy the holiday with family, so I thought I’d pop in real quick to wish you all happiness and joy for the holidays. I’m so looking forward to today’s activities – baking Christmas cookies, watching countless holiday movies, going out light looking, and enjoying a big dinner with the family (including lots of goodies and sparkling cider). The last of the gifts are wrapped, all of the decorations are in place, and we’re less than 24 hours away from the big day!
This weekend marks the kickoff of the Christmas festivities for many people, so I thought I would share the makeup I plan on wearing for my family’s Christmas Eve party. I’ve put a fair bit of thought into how I want to do my makeup this year. I love the classic cat eye and red lip look, but I want something extra festive so I’ve decided to add a bit of shimmer everywhere I can. The result is a makeup look that I’m super excited to wear for my Christmas Eve festivities.
For me, winter is a season to recover and take care of ourselves. After the crazy rush of the holidays, I like to take the quiet months of January and February to slow down, refocus, and practice lots of self care. It’s the perfect time to do so because this is usually the slowest point in the year for most of us. Since today marks the official start of Winter, I thought I would share a list of things everyone should do to really take advantage of this season.
With Christmas just a week away, I thought it would be fun to share my Christmas wish list for this year. I always love getting to see what others are wishing for so hopefully you guys will find this interesting as well. This year, my wish list consists of a good mix of lifestyle picks – a bit of beauty, decor, stationery, and clothing.
A classic red lip is a must for the holiday season. While I don’t usually wear red lipstick regularly, it’s something I like to break out for certain events. Seeing as Christmastime is the ultimate special occasion, it’s no wonder that I rock a red lip more often during this time of year. Finding the right shade takes a little bit of trial and error though, as the perfect Christmas red is neither too blue or too orange.
One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is watch feel good Christmas movies every chance I get. There’s no better way to spend an evening than curling up in pajamas with some hot cocoa and a festive film or two. I have so many favorites that I like to watch each year that I end up having to start viewing them in November (I’m one of those people that starts playing Christmas music the day after Halloween, so this probably doesn’t come as a surprise). If you’re looking for some seasonal movies to watch leading up to Christmas, here are some of my favorite films for the holidays.
