Each season, I try to add a few new pieces to my wardrobe to replace anything old and unused. Winter is one of my favorite seasons for fashion because I love layering and bundling up in cozy clothes, so shopping for a few additional pieces is always fun. I took advantage of some of the Black Friday and after-Christmas sales at a few of my favorite stores, and found some really great wardrobe additions.
When it comes to accessories, I like to have a few classic pieces that go with everything. I use to buy big statement pieces that were colorful and unique because I thought they looked fun, but over time I found that it was too difficult to actually style them without looking gaudy. Now I just have a handful of accessories that are my go-to pieces for everyday looks.
Autumn will forever be my favorite season for experimenting with style. There are so many different ways you can play around with your look during this time of year, whether it’s with makeup, clothing, hair, or accessories. Since the weather is nice and chilly, you can get away with layering clothing and accessories to create cozy outfits, plus the colors of the season make some great inspiration for your own color palette. If you’re unsure how to update your look for the season, here are four easy ways I like to do so each time fall comes around.
Now that New York Fashion Week has officially begun, I’ve got all things style-related on the brain. This is one of my favorite times of the year because I love getting to see all of the innovative designs and possible trends for the upcoming season. Looking at the beginnings of the street style shots from the event got me to thinking about how I would dress if I were attending the event. I would definitely want to wear killer outfits, but honestly? I enjoy being comfortable, especially when I know I have a lot of rushing around I have to do. Luckily, there are a few clever ways you can look incredibly chic without sacrificing comfort.
I’ve been slowly going through all of my clothes as I pack for this move, and getting rid of a bunch of things has opened up some space in my closet. Naturally, I’ve begun to think about what pieces I’m lacking in and what I should get to give my wardrobe a nice refresh. As a result, I’ve started a little fashion wish list (well, it was supposed to be little) of cute items I’ve been spying at ASOS. I’m a huge fan of ASOS because their clothing and accessories are so well made, and they carry a bunch of pieces that match my style perfectly. If you’re looking to do a little wardrobe shopping, check out the goodies from my wish list below and perhaps you’ll fall in love with something as well.

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve shared a “what’s in my bag?” post, so I thought it would be a good idea to give a little update. I always love these kinds of posts, probably because I’m nosy (haha) but also because I tend to get some helpful tips from them. Since I’m sure most of you are the same way, I’ve decided to jazz this post up with a few tips for some everyday essentials you should definitely be carrying in your bag.
Not too long ago, I was rather obsessed with collecting accessories (the term “hoarder” would be a pretty accurate description). Whenever I’d go thrifting at the local flea markets, I’d always end up with a bunch of vintage jewelry and hair decorations, and don’t even get me started on the accessories section of Forever 21. Over time, I had built up an insanely large collection of quirky and colorful accessories, but they’d always just sit around in my closet, never getting worn. Right before I moved last year, I decided to do a huge clear out of my wardrobe, and made sure to get rid of all of the unnecessary accessories I had accumulated. Ever since then, I’ve made a conscious effort to be more intentional with the accessories I purchase, and have been able to keep things fairly minimal.
Winter is quickly fading away into a very early spring here in Missouri, and I honestly couldn’t be happier. I love early springtime, when some days are a little chilly and others are warm enough for open windows and lighter clothing. The weather is the perfect mix of everything I love, and it makes my heart so happy. This time of the year can be a bit tricky for our wardrobes though (especially if you keep a smaller collection of clothing like myself). Here are a few outfit ideas inspired by the looks I love to wear for the early spring transition…
