One thing I’m wanting to do more of lately is read. I usually go through a fair few books in autumn and then tend to stop reading for several months as I end up getting busy with the beginning of the new year. This year, I’m hoping to read a bit more than I usually do, and I’ve already got a great little assortment of books on my “to read” list that I’m really looking forward to diving in to.
Heidi by Johanna Spyri | I always love reading old classics. After looking through my book collection, it dawned on me that I’ve never actually read Heidi so I added it to my reading list right away. I remember watching the Shirley Temple movie adaptation when I was little and loving it, so I’m excited to finally read the original.
The Life-Changing Magic Of Not Giving A F*ck by Sarah Knight | Self-help books are a guilty pleasure of mine, and after seeing this one from Sarah Knight a handful of times on social media, I knew I had to give it a read. I love a good book with a bit of sass and the name alone makes me hopeful for an entertaining read.
The Little Book Of Lykke by Meik Wiking | Last year I read The Little Book Of Hygge and absolutely fell in love with the cozy concept. When I saw that Meik Wiking was releasing a follow-up book about Danish secrets to happiness, I quickly preordered and can’t wait to pour over all of it’s advice.
The Crowns Of Croswald by D.E. Night* | I’ve been in desperate need of a good fantasy book to get caught up in, so naturally I jumped at the chance to read this debut offering from new author D.E. Night. This is supposed to be the first book in an eventual series, which makes me especially excited because if I end up loving it I know there’s going to be more to come.
Wildflower by Drew Barrymore | This is a book that’s been on my radar for a while, and I finally got my hands on it a few days ago. I love Drew Barrymore and am so inspired by her bubbly personality and the way her life has played out. Autobiographies and memoirs aren’t something I usually read, but for Drew I’ll make an exception.
All In Good Taste by Kate Spade | I know this may not be your typical “must read” type of book, and is more of a conversation piece or coffee table accoutrement. However, I recently got it in one of my gift boxes from Luxe & Bloom, and I’m so excited to flip through all of the pretty pages and get some tips on entertaining.
