With spring officially here and the weather in full transition mode, I’ve been giving my wardrobe a little overhaul to prepare for the warmer weather. Spring is always a strange season for clothing because one day can be gorgeous while the next is rainy and cold, so you really have to keep transitional pieces at the ready. A couple weeks ago I picked up some new additions from ASOS as I recently got rid of a bunch of things I was no longer wearing, and I thought I would share my finds with you guys.
My style is really basic when it comes to fashion, and I like to keep my closet stocked with classic pieces that never tend to go out of style. I’m a huge fan of ASOS for their plus size clothing selection, especially their t-shirts. They’re one of the few shops I’ve been able to find that makes comfortable clothing that not only fits properly but also lasts a good while. I picked up another striped tee (surprise, surprise), this really cute pink top, as well as this grey t-shirt that has a nice swingy fit to the bottom.
I’m mostly a pants and top kind of gal, but I saw this smock dress and just had to get it. I can never find anything with elbow-length sleeves and I think it’s such a cute look, so I tend to buy whatever I find with them. I think this dress is going to be so cute paired with ankle boots and a light scarf on a nice spring day.
Despite my attempt to wear something other than pants, I did pick up a new pair of leggings as well. I’m one of those people that likes to wear leggings as pants (anyone else?). ASOS has the best high waisted leggings – they’re incredibly comfortable, super opaque, and work quite well at hiding food babies. I love leggings for spring because they keep you warm if it’s chilly out, but they’re also light enough that you don’t get hot on warmer days.
My last amazing ASOS find are these adorable embroidered flats. I saw these and immediately put them in my cart – how cute are they? I love the floral embroidery. It’s so perfect for the season, and I think it adds such a unique detail to an outfit. This is my first pair of loafer-style shoes and I have to say I’m definitely a fan. I’ve already worn these out a few times and they’re super comfortable as well, which is always a plus!
