Positive Habits To Start Doing Daily

Having some good daily habits is really important for growth and personal development. One of my goals for the year has been to incorporate more positive habits into my everyday routine, and so far I’ve been able to stick to a bunch that have made an incredible difference in my life. They’ve helped give me a greater sense of purpose, plus I feel a bit more productive when I complete them each day. If you’re on the quest to bring a little more positivity into your daily routine, here’s a list of my personal favorite habits to start doing every day.

  • Wake up slowly with a nice cup of coffee
  • Make your bed every morning
  • Keep a gratitude journal or write down at least 3 things you’re thankful for each day
  • Start your day with some stretching or light yoga
  • Become a better listener
  • Give yourself a moment each day to just sit quietly and reflect
  • Learn a new word or fact
  • Buy yourself a small plant to take care of
  • Pick a different person each day to compliment or encourage
  • Take a walk outside
  • Face a small fear
  • Learn to let go of things that aren’t good for you
  • Drink a large glass of ice water with each meal
  • Set aside 20 minutes a day for prayer or meditation
  • Replace one negative thought a day with a positive one
  • Allow yourself to laugh more
  • Notice the little things around you and appreciate them
  • Remove people and news from your social media feeds that only promote negativity
  • Set small, realistic goals for yourself that set you up for success the following day
  • Learn to work harder instead of procrastinating
  • Remove any excess clutter in your life, no matter what form it may be in
  • Learn to be honest with yourself and others
  • Be expectant, and always look for the good in every situation
