I get so excited every year when Lush releases their holiday collections, and this year is no different. Their Halloween products have launched and everything looks so festive! There’s just something about their overly cute products that make me feel like a kid again (anyone else?). Chilly weather and long nights mean it’s bubble bath season, so I stocked up on a couple new bath time goodies to try out this month.
The first item that immediately went into my cart was one of the Sparkly Pumpkins. I’ve been wanting to try one of Lush’s glittery bubble bars for ages, and decided that now was the time. It’s almost too cute to use, but I’m planning on having a little autumn pamper night soon and this is definitely getting used first. Right out of the package, it smells heavenly. Not too sweet, not too spicy…just the right blend of fruitiness with a dash of cinnamon. Be warned though, this thing is absolutely covered in glitter. Just taking it out of the plastic to take these photos created a glittery mess on my hands (but it was so darn pretty, I couldn’t be bothered).
I wasn’t sure if I wanted to get the Bewitched Bubble Bar, but after reading the description I knew I had to try it. This is supposed to turn your water completely black, which sounded too cool to pass up. The scent is really good – not necessarily autumnal, but the blend of berries and lime will be a nice refreshing smell on a day when I need a little pick-me-up. I will say that ordering these online means you might possibly get a bar that’s not quite as photogenic as the ones online, but my derby little black cat kind of has a charm all his own (even with a missing nose).
The last item I decided on picking up isn’t exactly a fall selection, but the scent is too good to pass up and the color fits in nicely with Halloween so I thought, “Why not?” I’m a huge fan of The Comforter Bubble Bar. It’s hands down one of my favorite products from Lush (just barely losing first place to the Rose Jam Bubbleroons…swoon). On days when I don’t want to take a bubble bath but still want to luxuriate in that delicious scent, I love using the shower cream version of the bar. It has all of the joys of the bubble bar but in body wash form, and the scent lingers on the skin for ages. The Comforter is one of Lush’s cult favorite scents, and for good reason. The berry-vanilla blend is almost intoxicating – both soothing and invigorating at the same time. I like to sniff the bottle even if I’m not hopping in the shower because it just smells that good.
Have you picked up any fall goodies from Lush yet?
