I like experimenting with different colors and looks when it comes to makeup, but most days I’d rather play it safe and stick to my usual routine. I have a certain shade that is my go-to color, what I like to call my “comfort zone” shade. Can you guess what it is?
Nude pink is the color I always stick with on days when I want to just keep my makeup simple and casual – it’s the color I wear most days, in one form or another. MAC’s Naked Lunch is my current favorite when it comes to eyeshadows. It’s a one-wash kind of shadow – a super pretty neutral pink with a little bit of shimmer. I think it looks amazing for every occasion, and you’ll find me wearing it almost daily.
Another eye color that I’ve been wearing on my “play it safe” days is the pale pink shade from the IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Eyeshadow Trio in Pretty In Nudes*. It’s a softer pink that really helps brighten up my eyes, plus it also looks amazing when paired with the other two shades in the trio. My favorite blush to pair with these types of eye looks is the Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Celebrated. It’s a warm pink nude shade that gives the lightest little natural flush to the cheeks. I think it’s so pretty with just about every look.
For lips, I have a two-product combo that I swear by for that perfect nude pink pout. First, I apply MAC’s Creme Cup Lipstick all over my lips, and then I apply an even coat of the NYX Butter Gloss in Eclair on top of that. These two shades together create the prettiest glossy pink lip, and it’s my favorite to wear with a smoky eye or on days when I want to keep my makeup really neutral.
