I’ve struggled with dry skin for most of my adult life. While I’ve been able to find moisturizers to keep my face hydrated, my body has been a whole other story. I can’t tell you how many body lotions I’ve tried that either left my skin feeling greasy, took forever to soak in, or only worked for an hour before needing to be reapplied. I’m also rather picky with lotions due to where I live – Missouri has some pretty humid summers, and while I’d like to be able to flaunt super soft limbs, there’s no way I’m sacrificing comfort for a moisturizer that leaves my skin feeling clammy and moist (ew!). Luckily, I’ve discovered a new holy grail product that finally (finally!) fixes the issues I’ve had with body lotions in the past.
Curél® Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer* is a new lotion on the market, and I was lucky enough to get a chance to try it out. I was super excited when I first heard about this product because it sounded different from everything else I had tried and I was intrigued by the idea of a wet skin moisturizer. It has quite a list of promises, including quick absorption time and a non-greasy feel, and I could hardly wait to pick up a bottle and test these guarantees out for myself. I headed to my local Walmart, where I found a great little display of the Curél Hydra Therapy bottles in the makeup and skincare section.
Once I got home, I hopped in the shower and did my usual routine. After finishing everything up, I rinsed clean and turned the water off, except this time I didn’t immediately reach for my towel to dry off. Instead, I grabbed my bottle of Curél Hydra Therapy and began applying it to my legs and arms. I was immediately surprised by how hydrated it made my skin feel. Since it’s water-activated, a little goes a long way, and after about 30 seconds of massaging it in, my skin no longer felt wet but rather moisturized and nourished. By the time I got out of the shower and reached for my towel, the lotion had almost completely soaked in, and I was able to wrap my towel around my body with getting anything on the fabric. Once in my room, I began inspecting my skin and noticed right away that it looked much healthier and smooth. Gone were the scaly, rough patches, and in their place was glowing, supple skin!
Ever since, I’ve been using the Curél Hydra Therapy Moisturizer daily and have noticed a huge improvement in my skin. It looks healthier, feels incredibly soft (this is a dream to put on your legs after shaving!), and has really soothed my normally dry skin. This lotion has already become a staple to my summer shower routine, and I’m especially excited to see how it fares in the winter when my skin becomes particularly fussy. Since this lotion has Advanced Ceramide Complex in it (molecules typically found in healthy, hydrated skin) I’m guessing it’s going to work absolutely fabulously.
Have you tried Curél Hydra Therapy Moisturizer to end your dry skin struggles?
