5 Ways To Motivate Yourself Quickly

Working from home can be extremely fun and rewarding, but sometimes motivation can be scarce and it can be hard to keep the hustle going. Doing the same things day after day can become a little tiring sometimes, especially if there is something you’re just not a fan of doing (I’m looking at you, emails). Knowing how to motivate yourself in instances like these can be super helpful.

Seek Inspiration

Whenever I’m lacking the motivation to work on my blog, I always try to find some new inspiration. Browsing through Pinterest at beautiful photography and cute projects, as well as checking out my favorite blogs, usually motivates me like crazy. Seeing others totally kicking butt at their craft is a great way to motivate you to work harder on yours.

Remind Yourself Why You’re Doing This

We all start each project in life, big or small, with a goal in mind. Whether you’re working on a business-related goal or a personal goal, you’ve got a final result that you’d like to reach. When you’re having moments where you’re lacking motivation, it can be super beneficial to remind yourself of what you’re goals are and why you’re even working at this in the first place.

Take A Break

When I’m in the middle of a ton of work that needs to be done and am seriously lacking the will to continue, one thing that I’ve found to help pep me back up is to actually step away for a few minutes. Give yourself 15-30 minutes to take a break from whatever you’re working on and do something fun or relaxing. This can be a great way to refresh your mind and get you excited to work again. If you’re in control of your own schedule, plan on taking a small break every hour or so, this way you’re far less likely to feel burnt out throughout your day.

Set a reward

If you have an important deadline that you need to meet (or a task that you need to stop putting off), set a reward for yourself once you’ve completed the work. It doesn’t have to be something big and expensive either – an indulgent dessert or a relaxing night binge-watching your favorite show on Netflix would work just fine.

Blast Your Favorite Playlist

There are some nights when I sit down to create a blog post, and I have absolutely no motivation to write (this usually happens when I’m extremely tired or my 3DS is sitting next to me, begging to be played). When this happens, there is usually only one thing that will get me in the mood to write – rocking out to some 90s pop music. Playing upbeat, fun music that you love is a great way to get hyped up and ready to work again. Also – best hype song in the world? Freaks by Timmy Trumpet. OMGomgomg.

    These are such great tips! Creating a chilled out playlist always helps me get in the zone. I also find that waking up early makes me feel more productive, as I have more time to finish my work. Great post 🙂 x
