Hello everybody! My name is Siham, beauty blogger at www.noirettediary.com. Today I will be sharing with you what I like to call the basic menu for a party makeup. These products are what I always rely on when I have an important event, as I feel that they accentuate our best features in different ways.
A good skincare and base products for the skin are not the same for everyone, so we’re going to skip that part and go to the main bits of out menu. I don’t really have an order to do my makeup but I always apply contour and highlight one after the other, it’s like the yin yang of my face. These two steps are key to sculpt our face, they immediately make me feel a lot fancier. My favorite products for this are the Rodial Compact Deluxe Contouring Powder and the Bobbi Brown Pink Glow Highlighter.
Speaking of glow, whatever I do on my lids I will always add a bit of sparkle on the lids. I’ve never been a fan of glitter simply because I can’t be bothered with the mess. I found the Makeup Revolution Awesome Metals Foil Eyeshadow in Rose Gold (similar) and it has been my savior. You get the whole party look in a little pot without the mess. To compliment the intense shimmer on the eyes I apply a lot of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. I remember I used to hate it but as it dried out a bit I found that it gave my lashes tremendous volume, something I love when I don’t wear eyeliner, which is very often these days.
The last two items are probably what makes me feel the most glam. Bold brows and bold lips. If there is a brow product that I use specifically for nights out is Benefit KaBrow. I love the whole range but the fact that this pot gives me a more intense payoff and a thicker appearance just makes everything beautiful to me. Not to mention it lasts a lot longer so you don’t have to worry about your brows disappearing at some point in the night.
The lips. You can take everything I mentioned above and just pick a bold lipstick and walk out the door. I chose red this time, I’ve been all about red lately for some reason. If you’re in doubt for any color I think red is the one to go. It’s classy, it suits everything, and, most importantly, is the color of confidence in a lipstick bullet. My favorite one lately is Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge in Caprice, a beautiful vibrant color in a creamy formula. Cherry on top, you could say.
