Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers

Some of my favorite gifts to shop for are stocking stuffers. It’s so much fun when everyone grabs their stockings on Christmas morning and get to see all of the little gifts and sweets that everyone has picked out for them. You can really surprise someone with something special, and today’s gift guide is full of clever ideas for gifts that will really wow the people on your holiday shopping list.

When it comes to stocking stuffers, you want to pick items that are small but still pack a punch. It might seem hard to find a good gift that isn’t too large, but there are actually all kinds of things that work perfectly for a stocking stuffer. For the girls on my list, I love getting them beauty-related items because they’re usually smaller but still have the wow factor I’m looking for. Things like YSL and Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks, Essie nail polishes, individual eyeshadows (NARS and Stila both have great options), and Zoeva makeup brushes are all fantastic ideas for the perfect gift for someone’s stocking. For the boys, small accessories and lifestyle picks are usually what I go for. Watches make a great stocking stuffer for the gentlemen on your list, as well as things like wallets, stationery, hand creams, beard balms, dress socks, and tickets to a sporting event or upcoming concert.

Home decor items are a great option, especially if you’re needing a unisex gift or are unsure what exactly the person you’re shopping for wants. Small candles, art prints, and little decor items are all things that would work great in a pinch. I love shopping at places like Target because their $1 aisles usually house some special finds, plus they have a rather extensive home section so you’re bound to find something that will work well for the people on your list.

The final category I like to shop for stocking stuffers is bath and body products. This can be tailored to fit either gender, and you can usually find some fantastic items that will really wow the gift receiver. I love sneaking little bottles of perfume/cologne into people’s stockings, as well as things like hand creams (an essential for the winter season), face moisturizers, lip balms/stains, and body butters. An especially fun surprise is slipping a bath bomb or bubble bar into someone’s stocking so they can enjoy a nice relaxing bath after all of the Christmas festivities. Lush has some amazing ones to choose from, and you can check out my holiday picks here.
