I’m somewhat sad about this post because it’s the last of my Christmas content for the year, but I’m super excited to share the things I got from my family this year. I was a little unsure whether or not to do this post, but after asking you guys on Instagram if you’d like to see it, I received an almost unanimous “yes!” I love getting to see what other people got for Christmas, so hopefully you guys will enjoy my little haul as well.
I got absolutely spoiled with pretty stationery and books this year. My parents surprised me with a new planner and calendar from Rifle Paper Co, so now I can start 2018 off fully prepared. They’ve actually made me so excited for the new year, and I can’t wait to start using them. I’ve also really been wanting to start keeping a dream journal lately. Several of my recent dreams have been incredibly vivid and intense, and seem to revolve around the same locations – a school, my old apartment, and my church. My mom was sweet enough to get me a new journal that can be 100% dedicated to documenting my dreams, as well as a book called Dreamopedia which helps you decipher what certain things in your dreams mean. I’m excited to see what all of these crazy dreams could possibly mean.
My dad thinks it’s hilarious to get me Taylor Swift’s new CD every time she releases one, despite me not at all being a fan. I do have to admit her last CD was pretty good, so I’ll have to see how this one compares. But still, dad’s always got to be a trickster (he also got me a mini jar of Nutella that is hilariously adorable and will be greatly enjoyed that next time we have croissants). Both he and my sister got me some great gifts for the home, including this cute cat mug that I’ve had my eye on forever as well as this pastel mint alarm clock that is going to look fantastic on my bedside table. My mom picked out the cutest little tea light holder from Hurd & Honey that’s made from reclaimed wood. She knows me well when it comes to decor that can double as blog photo props.
I’ve been using the same pair of headphones for the past 5 or 6 years and they’ve really gotten old. As you can imagine, I was absolutely stoked when I opened one of my last gifts and got the Beats Solo3 Headphones in Rose Gold (again, my parents completely get my aesthetic, haha). These block out all surrounding noise and really let you blast your music loud, plus they’re wireless so you can listen while falling asleep without having to worry about accidentally strangling yourself on the cord in the middle of the night.
A few of the last things I received were a couple new sweaters, some fancy chocolates from London and Germany, a small collection of mini Kate Spade perfumes, and the new Bible from She Reads Truth. I’ve been wanting this Bible ever since SRT first released it, and I feel so blessed to finally own one. It’s an absolutely gorgeous edition, with colorful quote pages, full maps and timelines, and plenty of reading prompts to help inspire your studies. It is very heavy and has a lot of room for writing, so it will be the perfect study Bible to keep at home.
What’s your favorite item that you received for Christmas?
