3 Cozy Scents For The End Of The Year

Nothing sets the mood better for the holidays than a nice, cozy candle. With Christmas and New Year’s right around the corner, I’ve been burning candle after candle to create the perfect festive ambiance. I was recently sent a few candles from Brooklyn Candle Studio’s holiday collection, and they’ve been a great accoutrement to my seasonal decor, as well as providing some wonderful scents for my home.

My favorite out of the trio sent to me has definitely been Christmas Tree*. This candle smells like a ¬†talking a walk through a lush forest filled with evergreens and pines. There are subtle notes of moss and spearmint, which make it smell exactly like a fresh Christmas tree that’s just been brought home. I think the thing I love most about this candle is how simple yet effective the fragrance is. Every time I light this, it instantly takes me back to Christmases when I was little and we would pick out a real tree to bring home.

Another scent that I’ve been absolutely loving for this season has been Christmas Cheer*. It embodies all of my favorite smells for this time of year – spruce, cinnamon, oranges, clove – all things that are cozy and warm and essential to the season. When I was growing up, my dad would always put a pot of oranges and cloves in water on the stove each winter and let it simmer. The scent was so cozy and made our house really feel like a home, which is exactly what this candle does but without the hassle.

Candles are the perfect way to set the mood for a holiday party or get-together. If you’re planning on hosting a New Year’s Eve party this year, Brooklyn Candle Studio has the perfect scent to accompany the event. Champagne Toast* is a dreamy candle that smells like a bright, bubbly glass of champagne. With notes of vanilla, black currant, bergamot, and musk, it’s a great candle to help take your festivities into the new year.

Do you have a favorite candle for this time of year?
