Maybelline Color Tattoo shadows, especially the one in Creamy Beige. These are incredibly creamy and blend over the eyelids like a dream. I don’t have to use a primer with these because they stay all day, plus I never notice any creasing until the very end of the day. I’ve also heard really great things about the MAC Paint Pots, and really like to give them a try eventually.
Next, I’ll apply a quick line of liquid eyeliner to the top of both lids. Liquid liner is a big favorite of mine because it lasts all day long and is a lot darker and more defined than a regular eye pencil. The liquid liner I’m using right now is Max Factor’s Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Eyeliner*. So far I’m liking it – the paddle-shaped felt tip takes a little getting used to, especially when creating a cat eye, but it’s extremely pigmented. My absolute favorite liner is Pixi’s Cat Eye Ink*. It makes perfecting a cat eye super easy, but you can also just do a regular line if you’re in a hurry.
My final step is putting a full layer of volumizing mascara on both my top and bottom lashes. If I’m really in a hurry, I might skip the liner but I always make sure to apply some mascara. It’s one of the things that help make my makeup look complete and my eyes look wide awake. Drugstore brands are really killing it in the mascara department – I’m a huge fan of L’Oreal’s Miss Manga Mascara as well as the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. Both give you huge lashes that are lengthened, separated, and curled.
