Beauty Tryouts #11

Sea Vitamin Boost* and Advanced Protection Cream*. Since I have dry, sensitive skin, I’m always on the lookout for skincare products that will help soothe and nourish. Both of these products are formulated with sensitivities in mind and I’m hopeful to see good results. Plus, you guys know how much of a fan of face sprays I am, so I’m all too excited to start using that Sea Vitamin spray. The last skincare bit I’ll be testing out is the Caolion Pore Original Pack*. This is a deep cleansing mask that is supposed to minimize the appearance of pores while still offering hydration and mild exfoliation. My skin is in need of all of those things at the moment, so we’ll see how well this works.

For makeup, I’ve got some new releases from Max Factor and Pixi! Max Factor is a brand that is completely new to me, so I’m looking forward to trying them out. They’re coming back to the US and celebrating by launching a collection curated by Pat McGrath. From the collection, I’ve got the Masterpiece Max Mascara* and the Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Eyeliner*, and together they look like they could create the perfect everyday eye look. To go along with those, I’ve also got their Colour Elixir Lipstick* in Maroon Dust. I think these three would be a pretty good trio for light makeup days or when I’m in a hurry.

Pixi has recently come out with a whole collection of Multibalms, which can be used either as a cream blush on the cheeks or a tinted balm for the lips. I’m excited to try out the shades Soft Strawberry* and Watermelon Veil* – both colors that are perfect for the final weeks of summer. Lastly, I’ll be testing out yet another drugstore concealer: Maybelline’s Fit Me Concealer in Fair. I’m on a never-ending hunt for the holy grail of affordable concealers, and I’ve heard several good things about this one so I figured it was time I gave it a try.

Have you picked up any new beauty products recently?
