Beauty Tryouts #10

It’s a new month, which means it’s time for another Beauty Tryouts roundup! I’ve got a nice little bunch of products that I’m testing out this month, and I’m excited to see how many of them become new favorites of mine. You guys will have to let me know if you’ve used any of these before and what your thoughts are.

First up is Soap & Glory’s Peaches And Clean Deep Cleansing Milk. I picked this up because I’ve been getting a bunch of tiny little blackheads under my skin that are super annoying, but I still want a face wash that is light and gentle. I’ve used cleansing milks before and really liked how they worked for my skin, so I’m excited about giving this a go. Another skincare product I’ll be testing out this month is the Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask. This is supposed to help brighten, heal, and exfoliate, which I’m all about. Plus, it smells just like pumpkin pie, which oddly has me excited for fall and it’s only July.

I’d had my eye on the new Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation for awhile, but wasn’t sure if it would work for my skin type. I watched a few reviews/first impressions on Youtube and saw that it’s supposed to be hydrating even though it’s a matte finish, so I decided to go ahead and pick it up. If it works well, it should be the perfect foundation to combat summer sweatiness. Taste is releasing a new collection of Naughty Nude blushes for fall, and I had to pick one up because nude blushes are my jam. I went with the shade Seduce, which is described as a rosy nude. I have a feeling this could become my new everyday blush shade.

Essence is a brand that I’m slowly becoming obsessed with. They are so affordable and are popping up in some of my favorite stores like Target and Ulta, so I had to pick up a few more of their products. I’m always on the lookout for a mascara that will give me crazy huge lashes, and their Forbidden Volume Rebel Mascara sounds like it could do just that. I also saw that they have a collection of Sheer & Shine Lipsticks that I knew I had to try. Sheer lipsticks and balms are a favorite of mine for the summer because they’re hydrating and add a bit of color without being super heavy. I picked up the shade BFF and it looks so cute in person! Seriously excited to give this some daily use.

Speaking of lip products, the last two beauty bits I’m trying out this month are both lip colors. First is Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina. This has been on my wish list ever since Vanda talked about it a few months back, and after falling in love with Venezia last month I knew I had to pick this shade up. The second lip product I’m giving a go is Lorac’s Alter Ego Lip Gloss in Vixen. I already have a few other shades and love them, so I had to get this one for summer.

Have you picked up any new beauty products lately?
