May 2016 Beauty Favorites

It’s that time once again for me to share my favorite beauty products for the past month (I’m actually a few days late with this post but we’ll just pretend it’s still May for today). I have quite a killer roundup of products to show you guys, so let’s dive on in.

Origins Checks & Balances Frothy Face Wash: I’ve been using this cleanser for both my morning and evening skincare routines, and I’m absolutely loving it! This does such a great job of getting my skin super clean without drying it out. It gets all of my makeup off, yet is gentle enough to not bother my sensitive skin. I highly recommend picking this up if you’ve been thinking about it!

Pixi Lash Line Ink*: This liquid liner went everywhere with me last month. I couldn’t stop using it, and was really impressed with the results I got each time. The tip of the pen is a very fine point, so you can get right up against your lash line to avoid that little strip of bare skin that’s so unsightly. Also, this stuff stays on no matter what. I ended up sleeping with it on for two nights in a row before taking it off (so lazy, I know), and on the third day my sister complimented me on how nice my eyes looked. Miracle product indeed!

Tarte BB Tinted Moisturizer in Ivory: This BB cream/tinted moisturizer has been my secret to even, hydrated skin. It works so well at evening out your skin tone while adding a boost of hydration. The result is a complexion that is dewy and fresh, which is perfect for the summertime. I’m definitely going to be using this like crazy for the next few months.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Petal: For an everyday lip shade that looks flattering yet subtle, I’ve been going with the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in the color Petal. You guys already know I’m a huge fan of this brand (especially these lip balms), and this shade is the perfect “my lips but better” hue. What I really like about this is how it barely takes any to get color and hydration, so it’s a product that will last a long while (which is good since the price tag is a little steep).

Living Proof Restore Instant Repair Lotion*: This repair lotion has been saving my hair lately! I always deal with an incredible amount of frizz and dryness during the summer, but with this my hair feels like I just got it treated at a salon. I apply this every time I get out of the shower and within minutes my hair feels positively luscious. It’s a very nourishing treat for the hair, and I highly recommend trying it out if you have dry, coarse, damaged, or frizzy hair.

EOS Cucumber Hand Lotion: My spring/summer hand cream of choice has been this little cucumber number from EOS. The packaging is so adorable and handy (as with all of their products), and is the perfect size to fit in my makeup bag. It smells incredibly fresh and light, and it absorbs rather quickly so you don’t have to worry about greasy hands while out and about.

Chloé Eau de Parfum: Chloé is my perfume soulmate. This is one of those scents that I know I will wear for the rest of my life, and I’ve been particularly obsessed with it (again) recently. It’s a light, sophisticated, and beautifully feminine scent. I like to think of it as my “grown up” fragrance, and tend to wear it when I want to dress up or make a statement. Also, the bottle is just so chic and looks lovely on your dressing table.

Bath & Body Works Watermelon Lemonade Candle: Though technically not a beauty item, I had to include this candle because I’ve been burning it all month and I’m in love. It’s a fruity, sweet scent that is so perfect for the season, plus it adds a nice pop of color to the room. Fair warning though, don’t burn it with your windows open – it’s a popular scent among bees as well. 😉
