3 Essential Oil Recipes For A Better You | A Girl, Obsessed

Lately, my mom has become super obsessed with essential oils. She’s been creating different blends to help with all kinds of ailments, as well as some for aromatherapy. I’ve had fun trying out a few blends myself, and have found a few combinations that I absolutely love for positivity and inner peace.

Stress Relief Essential Oil Blend

  • Tea Tree
  • Peppermint
  • Lavender
  • Chamomile

Mood Lifter Essential Oil Blend

  • Rose
  • Lemon
  • Marjoram
  • Geranium

Sleepy Time Essential Oil Blend

  • Lavender
  • Roman Chamomile
  • Sweet Orange

You can either use these blends in a room diffuser to scent your home or in a rollerball for topical application. If you use it to apply directly to the skin, make sure you dilute it first by mixing the essential oils with a base like almond or coconut oil (if you don’t, the essential oils could possibly aggravate or burn your skin). For me, I like to keep the sleep and stress relief blends in my bedroom and apply them to the insides of my wrists as needed. The mood lifter blend is such a happy scent, and you can actually get away with wearing it as a perfume (also, it smells amazing diffused throughout the house).

How many drops of each essential oil is completely up to you. I believe that with these kinds of blends, they can smell different to different people. My tip is to start with just a few drops of each, and then play around from there until you find the amounts that you like best.
