Beauty Tryouts #6

Beauty Tryouts #6 | A Girl, Obsessed

The eyeshadow palettes from Tarte have always been swoon-worthy. When I saw the new Tartelette In Bloom Palette in person, I knew I had to have it. All of the colors included are right up my alley, and there’s a nice mix of mattes and shimmers. I’m actually becoming more of a fan of shimmery eyeshadows, so this is the perfect palette for my tastes.

Hourglass is a brand that has been hit-or-miss for me. I was not a fan of their Ambient Lighting Edit, but absolutely love their Ambient Lighting Palette. I’ve heard so many good things about their blushes, so I figured I’d take a chance and pick one up. After swatching a few in Sephora, I came home with the shade Mood Exposure, which is a soft plummy mauve color. It looked amazing on my hand, so I’m really excited to give this baby a go.

Awhile back I picked up the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured in Moonstone, and while I liked it, I feel like powder highlighters are more up my alley. So, I gave that one to my mom and picked up theShimmering Skin Perfector Pressed instead. I like that the container is a good bit bigger than the cream version, and it blended out so nicely when I switched it in the store.

Y’all know that Keeping Up With The Kardashians is one of my guilty pleasures, and I love watching Kylie Jenner for makeup inspiration. After doing a bit of googling, I found out that her signature lip duo is MAC’s Lipstick in Brave paired with their Lip Pencil in Soar. So, naturally, I had to pick them up. I have worn this duo once or twice, but I’m looking forward to trying them out more this month.

The final beauty bit I’m trying out is the Jules And Esther Vitamin C Facial Serum*. This is supposed to add natural hydration and help brighten the skin to make it healthy and supple. It’s full of natural ingredients, which I really appreciate when it comes to skincare products and anything that supposed to soak into my skin.

What beauty products are you trying out this month?
