Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Fair Neutral to cover up any imperfections. My skin has been doing much better for the past couple weeks, so I really haven’t had to wear any foundations or BB creams. The only area that’s needed a bit of help is my under eyes (of course), so I’ve been using the new Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream* to help hydrate and brighten the area. It’s also been working great as an under eye primer to help prep the skin for concealer.
My eyes have probably been the most played up part of my routine lately. The Stila All Over Shimmer Duo in Kitten has been my go-to for shimmery, champagne eyes. I like that it has two different shades because I can either wear one shade all over the lid or use both to create an eyeshadow look with extra definition. My mascara of choice has been the Clinique High Lengths Mascara*, which has been quite the lovely little discovery. I’ve never really worried about the length of my lashes before, but after using this mascara I’ve realized that lash length really does matter. Every time I use this mascara, my lashes look like I’ve had extensions applied and my eyes look so much bigger. This is the first time trying a mascara from Clinique, and I have to say I’m very impressed.
To make my lashes look a bit bigger (as well as help define my eye shape), I’ll line my upper lash line and tightline with some of the IT Cosmetics No-Tug Gel Eyeliner in Black/Brown*. Since it’s waterproof, it stays for a really long time without smudging or bleeding down my face, which is always a plus. It’s also a really creamy gel formula, so I don’t have to tug at my eyes while applying it. For brows, I’ve been keeping it really simple – just a bit of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Ebony to help shape, fill in, and brush out my brows for a natural everyday look.
The rest of my face is kept pretty plain, with just a few products giving it that perfect finishing touch. Cheeks get a neutral pop of color using the H&M Powder Blush in Brown Sugar (my favorite natural-looking bronze/nude cheek color) and then all of the high points of my face are dusted with the Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in Candlelight for a radiant, glowing finish. This product was a bit of a splurge (thanks Kate), but it has definitely proven to be worth every penny. Then, for my lips, I slick on some of the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Petal and my look is complete. Hydrated, dewy, and neutral – my ideal routine for February.
