PÜR Cosmetics HydraFluid Water Serum Foundations*, I got especially excited to give them a go because serum-based foundations seem to be the new trend (plus, for someone who suffers from dry skin, anything with the words “hydra” and “water” immediately stand out on my radar). I was offered the chance to try them out, and I’m here today to report my thoughts and opinions.
First, a bit about the products itself… The HydraFluid Water Serum Foundation is the newest base product at PÜR Cosmetics. Their newest complexion hero claims to offer skin-quenching ingredients and superior makeup performance. What makes this foundation different from others is the encapsulated water complex found at the heart of the formula – it delivers Swiss Alps-sourced glacier water deep into the skin for optimal hydration. It is also formulated with Ceretin Complex and Vitamin E. The result is lasting radiance, smoother skin, and a silky, luminous finish.
The first thing I noted when applying the foundation was how light-weight it was. It blended out easily, with a super creamy texture, and is a very liquid-y formula. To me, it felt more like a BB cream than a foundation, and gives you that dewy, fresh-faced look that you usually expect from BB creams and tinted moisturizers. It doesn’t provide a ton of coverage once blended out, but it doesn’t claim to be a full-coverage base so I’m not too bothered. I think this would be a really great addition to your makeup collection for days when you don’t want to wear a lot of makeup and would rather just even out your skin tone and add some hydration. Come summertime, I could see this being a base I reach for a lot.
The main issue I had with this foundation was the shade choices. It comes in Light, Medium, Tan, Dark, and Deep. I have incredibly light skin, and I noticed when swatching that all 5 shades have a peachy tint to them, which doesn’t match up well for someone like me who has neutral-yellow undertones. I think that these first 5 shades aren’t bad for the line’s release, but I’m hoping they’ll add more shades in the future.
Have you tried these HydraFluid Foundations yet?
