Real Techniques Powder Brush is my favorite for all over face powders and if I’m wanting to just add a little bit of bronzer for a light, sun kissed glow. This is an extremely fluffy brush, and does a fantastic job of dusting powder products all over your skin.
For blush and highlighters – IT Cosmetics is well known for their amazing quality brushes, and I’m particularly enamored with their dual-ended brushes. They’re so well-made and take up less room in your makeup bag. The Complexion Perfection Brush #7* is my favorite for cheek products – I use the larger end to blend in blush and the short end to apply highlighting products exactly where I want them.
For contours and bronzers – I think the easiest way to get that perfect contoured look is by using a good angled brush. My go-to is the Real Techniques Sculpting Brush. It’s a dense yet fluffy angled brush that makes contouring such a breeze.
For setting concealers – My tip for an all day flawless look is to set your concealer with a little bit of translucent powder. The girls over at Real Techniques have created the perfect brush for this – their Setting Brush is fantastic for getting into all of the little contours around your nose and under eye area to help set concealers and foundations so they stay in place all day.
For eyes and brows – Another dual-ended favorite from IT Cosmetics is the Heavenly Luxe No Tug Eyeshadow Brush #5*. This brush is so incredibly versatile – the larger end can be used for all over color or blending out crease shades, and the smaller, flat end can be used for defining the crease, lining the eyes, or defining the brows. This is definitely a must have for the makeup bag.
