A Full Skincare Routine For Sensitive Skin

After speaking with one of the Paula’s Choice representatives and getting a full skincare consultation, they recommended a skincare regimen to help with dry skin, calming redness, and preventing signs of aging. I’ve been using it daily for the past few weeks, and I have to say I’m very happy with my skin and the results I’ve been seeing.

Redness Relief Cleanser for Normal to Dry Skin*. This is a really creamy, milky cleanser that removes dirt and makeup to reveal clean, healthy skin. It rinses off completely without stripping the skin, so it really is perfect for sensitive skin. Next I use Redness Relief Toner* to help add moisture back into the skin and reduce the look of pores and redness. This is probably the coolest toner I’ve ever used  – the formula is like a cross between a liquid and a lotion, so it’s incredibly hydrating for the skin. Once that’s dried, I apply a small amount of the Redness Relief 1% BHA Lotion Exfoliant*, which uses salicylic acid to gently exfoliate and reduce the appearance of bumpy skin.

Next I apply the Redness Relief Repairing Serum* to kind of prep my skin for moisturizers. I’ve had issues in the past with serums leaving my skin feeling sticky, but this absorbs like a dream. It helps calm and soothe my skin, while giving it a nice protective layer. After that has fully dried, I apply a layer of the Redness Relief SPF 30 Moisturizer*. I really like this moisturizer because not only is it incredibly hydrating, it also has a great amount of SPF in it, so my skin is protected from sun damage without having to wear a sunscreen. The last step of this morning skincare routine is the Resist Anti-Aging Eye Cream*, which is packed with antioxidants to help prevent signs of aging while also retaining moisture (which will help with dark circles).

Resist Retinol Serum*. I like using this product for several reasons – it’s anti-aging, improves the look of dark spots and acne scarring, and has properties that help reduce inflammation. It’s a nice treat for my skin at night, and I feel that I wake up with brighter skin in the morning because of it. Next, I apply my eye cream, and then a layer of the Redness Relief Moisturizer*. This is a really good one for night because it doesn’t have any SPF and feels a bit thicker, so you get a lot of hydration from it while you’re sleeping.
