Lumixyl Trifecting Night Cream Review | A Girl, Obsessed

This night cream is called trifecting because it claims to be a “skin perfecting treatment” that aims to boost brightness, defuse the look of fine lines and wrinkles, and dissolve blemishes. While I don’t suffer from wrinkles or fine lines, I have been dealing with dull skin, random breakouts, and an uneven skin texture. The ingredients in this cream all work to cure these skin ailments – things like retinol for cell turnover, decapeptide-12 for brightening benefits, and bisabolol for hydration and healing.

The directions state to use the cream every other night, and then begin using it every night once your skin gets used to it. I was nervous starting out because I have relatively sensitive skin, and wasn’t sure how a strong ingredient like retinol would affect it. Luckily, my skin took to it immediately and there was no redness or inflammation. After about a week of using it, I switched to applying it every night and the changes I’ve seen in my skin have been incredible.

My face, even on good days, usually has a few areas that feel “bumpy”. Not huge bumps, mind you, but like a bunch of tiny little ones and no amount of exfoliation could ever get them to go away. After just a few nights of using this cream, my skin is smoother than it’s ever felt in my entire life. The tiny little bumpy areas are gone, and soft skin is left in it’s place. My skin is brighter, the texture more even, and any acne spots are virtually gone. This has really helped clear up my skin, and I’m so glad I gave it a try.

The packaging for this cream is really well made, and I like that all you have to do is twist the top for the little nozzle to come out (I get geeky about packaging, don’t judge me). The cream itself absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave any residue or greasy feeling on my skin. It’s light like a lotion, but packs the same amount of hydration as an overnight balm. Basically, it’s a little miracle in a bottle for anyone with troubled skin.
