Popcorn, Bubblegum, and The Kiss are so fun, plus the oils used are super hydrating. These are the scrubs I use most days, but if my lips are in really bad shape I’ll grab the Fresh Sugar Lip Polish. This is such a rich treatment for the lips, and the combinations of ingredients leaves them feeling soft, smooth, and incredibly moisturized.
Having an everyday lip balm that helps protect and hydrate is something that I think is super important. I use a few different ones depending on the time of day and how in need of moisture my lips are. Usually in the morning I’ll pop on some of the EOS Smooth Stick in Vanilla Bean as a last step in my skincare routine. It adds a lot of hydration without being sticky or greasy. Then, throughout the day, I’ll use the Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose Kiss as needed for some glossy shine and to protect my lips from the chilly air and drying indoor heating. Before bed, I like to swipe on a richer balm since I sleep with a fan on and won’t be awake to reapply any for about 8 hours. For this, I reach for Jurlique’s Love Balm in Rose*. Not only does this smells amazing (nothing like the scent of roses while drifting off…), but it’s such a rich, nourishing balm that is amazing for anything dry – lips, cuticles, elbows, etc.
HYDRATING LIP COLORS
As a final step to help my lips stay hydrated, I like using lip colors that have a good amount of moisture to them. Clinique’s Pop Lip Colours are some of my favorites to use because they have a primer built in, thus resulting in incredibly smooth application and a creamy texture that’s very hydrating. If I’m not really wearing a lot of makeup and just want a slight wash of color on my lips, I love using the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose. Though technically a lip balm, I find this to offer enough color for daytime wear without being too heavy or glossy. It’s the perfect lip color for “no makeup” makeup days or lazy weekends.
