Mario Badescu’s Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater. I remember using this for the first time and falling completely in love. My skin is naturally dry and sensitive, so having a cooling mist of rose and aloe water on my face was such a treat. This is one I’ll repurchase time and time again, and it’s also my favorite for summer (store it in the fridge for a cold refresher for the face on hot summer days).
For a boost of dewiness to the skin, I like to reach for the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist*. This stuff is like a little miracle worker in a bottle! I don’t know how it does it, but after misting a layer of this on my face, I have a beautifully glowing complexion. My skin just drinks this mist up, and looks healthy and supple afterwards.
A newer spray that I’ve been testing out is Younique’s Refreshed Rose Water*. They sent it to me to try, and while it’s pretty refreshing when applied, I haven’t noticed too big of a difference to my skin after using it. It’s nice for those days when my skin feels a little lackluster and in need of hydration, but I’d rather reach for the Mario Badescu spray instead. Also, my skin felt slightly tacky/sticky after it dried, which I wasn’t a fan of. I’d use it if I didn’t have any other mists to use, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase it.
For makeup prep and setting, I use Pixi’s Makeup Fixing Mist* and I totally swear by it. I’m almost positive this is what kept my makeup from melting off during the hottest days of summer. You can spray it on before applying makeup to give your products something to adhere to better, and then you can spray it on again afterwards to help set everything and keep it all in place. It’s something I will definitely keep in my collection at all times.
The last facial spray I have is the newest – Jurlique’s Rosewater Balancing Mist*. This is one of those cult beauty blogger products that you see on nearly every blog, and I was all too happy to finally get my hands on a bottle. It really lives up to the hype, which my skin is quite thankful for. My cheeks and forehead tend to be rather red due to sensitivity and my skin is overall pretty dry. For some reason, the past few months my face has not been happy and there has been breakouts and dry patches galore. This has been one of the products that’s really help my skin calm down and even itself out. So far, I’m really loving what Jurlique has to offer.
