The Makeup Edit #2

Maybelline’s Fit Me Matte & Poreless. It gives an incredible finish to my skin, covering up redness and imperfections, as well as being light enough to actually match my skin tone. To cover up my under eye circles and any major blemishes, I’ve been using the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye* concealer. This stuff works miracles at concealing everything, and it’s exactly what you need to help achieve the perfect flawless base. To add some color and definition back to my face, the Lancôme Star Bronzer Palette* has been a lifesaver. It includes a highlighter, blush, and bronzer all in one compact, so it’s perfect for on-the-go and the built-in mirror works great for when you’re not at home.

I’ve been absolutely obsessed with champagne eyes lately, so it’s no wonder Maybelline’s Color Tattoo in Barely Branded has found it’s way into my makeup bag. This has quite possibly bumped Bad To The Bronze out for top spot in my favorites list – it’s absolutely gorgeous and I can’t stop wearing it. My favorite thing to pair with champagne shadow is a classic cat eye, and Pixi’s Cat Eye Ink* is the best product I’ve ever used to create a flawless wing. It also stays put all day without smudging or wearing off. The final product I’ve been using to complete my eye look is the Lorac Pro + Fiber Mascara*. I’m really loving this mascara because it makes my lashes so big and full, and does a great job at holding a curl.

Brows + Lips

I decided to put my beloved Gimme Brow to the side for the month and try a new brow option, this time in pencil form. Pixi’s Endless Brown Gel Pen* has been my go-to for the month, and I’ve really been enjoying it. Since it’s a gel-based pencil, it does a really great job of adhering to the brow hairs – filling in bare patches and helping them keep their shape. For my lips, I’ve been switching back and forth between two products. On days when my makeup is a little lighter, I’ll just swipe on some of the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose. Not only does this offer a really natural hint of color, but it also is great now that my lips are getting a bit drier. If I’m wanting more of a seasonal-appropriate color, I’ll go with the Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer in Plum Pop. You can see swatches of it here, but it’s just a pretty plum shade, plus it has a primer built in so it’s really conditioning on the lips.

What’s been hanging out in your makeup bag this month?
