Makeup That Has Gotten Neglected

Stila’s In The Light Palette for quite some time, and it’s an absolutely gorgeous palette so I feel incredibly guilty that I’ve only used it 2 or 3 times. It’s a completely neutral palette, including brand faves like Kitten and Sandstone, which is right up my alley. I think the reason why I keep letting this get left on the side is because palettes like the Naked2 and Pocket Pro have become my go-to favorites. This also explains why the Naked Basics 2 is showing up in this roundup – yet another gorgeous neutrals palette that I keep forgetting to use because I’m usually reaching for a different one.

Some products I’ve been neglecting just because I’ve been testing out too many of the same thing (always in the quest for the holy grail product). I’ve been testing more mascaras than necessary for the past few weeks, so my beloved They’re Real has not seen much use lately. I know I’ll come back to it eventually though, as it’s one of the best mascaras I’ve ever used. Another item that hasn’t been getting a lot of love has been the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer. This is actually a fantastic product for covering up dark circles, but I keep reaching for my other concealers instead. I think this is because the color has become a little dark for my skin tone (either I’ve become more pale in the past few months, or I was using the wrong shade all along and never noticed).

These last two products are ones that I’m actually really excited about because they’re perfect for the season. I originally bought the Revlon Lip Gloss in Berry Allure because Estée suggested it. This is such a pretty berry gloss that gives your lips a nice pop of color, and the only reason I haven’t been using it is because it somehow made it’s way to the back of my lip product drawer. Another beauty bit I found stashed at the back of a drawer was the NARS Orgasm Blush (I know, I know – I’m a bad beauty blogger). This was one of the first makeup products I bought because I heard bloggers rave about it over and over again, and was the first item from NARS I ever tried. You can bet this will be making it’s way back into my makeup bag for the season.

Do you own products that you keep forgetting about?
