October 2015 Beauty Favorites

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Pillow Mist and it’s been such a treat for bedtime. It smells like lavender and chamomile, which is just a dreamy combination. I like to spray it all over my pillows and blanket, and then fall into a deep, restful sleep.

Skincare-wise, I’ve got a new daytime moisturizer that I’m completely in love with. Jurlique has been a brand that I’ve been wanting to try for ages, and their Moisture Replenishing Day Cream* has been a lifesaver for my dry, parched skin. It’s a fairly thick cream that offers a lot of hydration, but doesn’t go greasy after applying.

For makeup, this month has introduced a new favorite cream shadow that I simply cannot get enough of. Maybelline’s Color Tattoo in Barely Branded is quite possibly the prettiest champagne shadow I’ve ever used, and it’s been the makeup item I’ve reached for the most this month. I’ve also been using the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose quite a lot recently. With the cooler weather comes drier skin, and my lips waste no time in completely drying out if I don’t use a lip balm regularly. I love this one because it’s so conditioning on the lips, while also offering up a bit of color, so you don’t have to layer a bunch of lip products on top of each other.

My scent of the month has been none other than Jo Malone’s Wood Sage & Sea Salt. Ever since scoring this on eBay (for only $45!), I’ve been completely obsessed with it and have enjoyed a spritz or two every morning to start my day. The smell is so woody and nostalgic – perfect for the season. I’m so impressed with this Jo Malone scent that I’ve already added the Mimosa & Cardamom cologne to my Christmas list.

I’ve had two nail polish favorites that I’ve been switching between all month. The first is Essie’s In The Lobby, my dark nail dream shade. This is a dark wine red with a hint of purple to it, and I feel extremely badass when wearing it. The other is Essie’s Merino Cool, which Brooke and I (and Kelsey!) share a deep love for. It’s a purple-y greige cream polish that looks so flattering on the nails for this season, and I’ve been in nail heaven switching back and forth between these two for the past few weeks.

Marshmallow Fireside candles this year, and I’m so in love with it! Whenever I’m working at my desk or organizing my room, I always make sure to light it because of how relaxing the fragrance is. It smells exactly like cooking marshmallows over a bonfire – smoky and woody with hints of vanilla and sugar. So good!

What have been your favorite things for the month?
