September 2015 Beauty Favorites

Pixi’s Glow Tonic* has been an absolute miracle for my skin. Not only has it helped with my dry skin, but it’s worked wonders at clearing up any blemishes and spots. To help add some moisture back into my skin after toning, I’ve been reaching for the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist*. It’s such a nourishing facial spray, and I love the dewy texture it gives my complexion – my skin always looks super healthy after a spritz or two of this.

MAC really won out with the makeup favorites this month. Their Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light has been my powder of choice – replacing my once beloved Rimmel Stay Matte – to help set my makeup and give a nice matte finish to my face. It’s a really creamy powder and blends beautifully on the skin. I’ve also been head over heels for their Lustre Lipstick in Plumful. It’s a sheer lip color (like a tinted lip balm), and it’s what I’ve been using most days because the color is a beautiful “everyday” shade of plum and it’s really moisturizing on the lips.

For my eyes, I’ve been using the Pixi Cat Eye Ink* almost daily this month. I wrote all about it here (including swatches), but all you need to know is that it’s quite possibly the easiest way to achieve a perfect cat eye and it doesn’t budge at all. My other eye favorite for the month is the Lorac Pro + Fiber Mascara* – a product I’ve not seen much in the beauty community, which is crazy to me because it is so amazing. This mascara lengthens, holds a curl, build volume, and gives the look of false lashes without having to apply those tricky things. I’ve been trying all sorts of mascaras out lately (what can I say, I’m a beauty lover), and this is one that has definitely stood out among the rest.

My nail favorite for the month is Essie’s Sand Tropez – a really wearable, everyday nude that I can’t get enough of. It walks that fine line between sandy beige and grayish taupe, and I think it’s such a flattering color for the season. I’ve been wearing it for the past two weeks or so, and I’m debating whether I should switch to a different fall shade or if I should just stick to another fresh coat.

What have been your favorite products for the month?
