My Updated Summer Skincare Routine

My Updated Summer Skincare Routines | A Girl, Obsessed

First I splash some cold water on my face to help wake myself up and get my skin ready for a good washing. I start of with the First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser ($20) which has been doing a great job of getting my skin squeaky clean without drying it out. Next up I generously spritz my face with the Mario Badescu Facial Spray ($7). I’ve been using this in place of a morning toner because it’s lighter but also super nourishing. Then I apply my facial moisturizer – currently using The Body Shop’s Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet ($23), you can read my full review here – and dab some of the Benefit It’s Potent Eye Cream ($34) under and around both eyes. Lastly, I apply some of the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose ($22) to my lips and I’m ready to “face” the day. (Haha…see what I did there? ^_^)

Ponds Luminous Clean Wet Cleansing Towelettes ($4) to remove any makeup from my face (I swear by these!). If not, I’ll just dive right into cleansing, again with the First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser ($20). Then I’ll tone using the Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion ($15), focusing mainly on my t-zone and chin. Next I like to apply a lip scrub, that way I can rinse it off without rinsing off any moisturizers. I’m currently using LUSH’s The Kiss Lip Scrub ($10). After that I’ll apply all of my moisturizing products – Eucerin Redness Relief Soothing Night Cream ($15) for my face, more of the Benefit It’s Potent Eye Cream ($34) for around my eyes, and the Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm* ($15) to condition my lips.

Once or twice a week I’ll treat my skin to a nice exfoliating treatment before applying my toner at night, and for that I’ve been using the Mario Badescu Strawberry Face Scrub ($15). I really like this one because it helps nourish my skin as well as slough away any dead skin cells. My face always feels refreshed and more supple after using it.
