The Body Shop’s Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder ($20) – a product that has gotten a lot of love here on AGO. I love dusting this on my temples, cheekbones, jawline, and nose to add that perfect touch of sun. I’ll also build it up in the hollows of my cheeks a bit to add some definition and contour to my face.
Would you believe that I have 4 different products for highlighting? A bit excessive, I know, but they each play an important role in achieving this look. First up I like to conceal and brighten the dark circles under my eyes with the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Ivory ($7.99). This is light enough to not melt off in the heat but does a fantastic job of concealing as well as highlighting the under eye area. Next I apply some of theBalm’s Mary-Lou Manizer ($24) all over my lids to really brighten my eyes and make them look more awake. I’m a big fan of one-product eye looks, especially since I’m a bit lazier with my makeup in the summertime, so this is definitely a favorite.
Now it’s time to add some final highlighting touches to my face. I like to dust some of my favorite highlighter ever – MAC’s Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle ($32) – on the tops of my cheekbones and in the middle of my forehead and chin. The I apply a very small amount of Benefit’s Watt’s Up ($30) onto the bridge of my nose and my cupid’s bow, making sure to blend it out so it’s not super obvious.
As a final step, I like to add a little pop of color to my cheeks, but something that looks natural and more like flushed skin from being out in the sun. The cheek color I usually go with is the Stila Convertible Color in Lilium ($25) – it adds the softest flush of pink to the cheeks, and blends in beautifully with the bronzer and highlighter. And that’s about it for how I achieve my favorite bronzy look! Sometimes I’ll add a little bit of mascara or tinted lip balm, and other times I’ll just leave it a bit more natural.
