MAC’s Creme Cup ($16). I’ve mentioned this lipstick a few times before, so I’m sure you all know how much I love it….but seriously you guys, MAC lipsticks are amazing!! Their creamsheens are so creamy (for lack of a better description, lol) and Creme Cup is the prettiest muted pink. This is the lipstick that I’ve been wearing most days, I just love how it goes with everything. Another favorite lipstick that I’ve been using more lately is the Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Marshmallow Bunny ($22) – a super creamy bubblegum pink shade that looks absolutely amazing with a dark, smoky eye.
On days where I didn’t wear much makeup or I wanted something a bit lighter, the NYX Butter Gloss in Eclair ($4.99) is what I’d reach for. It provides that same gorgeous nude pink color that I love but in a lighter, glossy formula. Also, these butter glosses smell like cupcakes. It’s a win-win. 🙂 If I’m wanting something less opaque but still glossy, I’ve been using the new Maybelline Color Elixir Iridescent in Blush Petal ($8.99) which is a beautiful blush color – slightly iridescent but still offers a nice wash of color and it’s super glossy. I’m really loving the Color Elixirs because they’re almost like a liquid lipstick but are not sticky at all.
The last two lip products that I’ve been using this spring are both tinted balms that offer great color payoff and lots of hydration. The first is the NYX Chunky Dunk Hydrating Lippie in Watermelon Cooler ($6). This is one that I kind of forgot I had, but then happily rediscovered it and have been using it quite a bit. Watermelon Cooler is a great medium pink shade that kind of falls between a matte finish and a balm – it’s not super glossy, but it’s not completely matte either. The final product is the L’Oreal Pop Balm in Bold Blush ($7.99), a slightly sheer bright pink balm that I love wearing with a nude or bronzy eye.
Is there a certain color that you’ve been wearing more often now that spring and summer are here?
