My Makeup Bag | The Spring Edit

My Makeup Bag | The Spring Edit | A Girl, Obsessed
For my base, I went with products that were light and had an almost skin-like finish to them. The Maybelline BB Cream in Light ($8.99) is an old favorite and one I liked to use on days when my skin was pretty good. It doesn’t offer a ton of coverage, but it’s good for evening out my skin tone and adds a bit of moisture to my skin. When I needed more coverage but still wanted a light base, I used the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation in Classic Ivory ($12.99). This is an incredible drugstore foundation and has quickly become my new favorite. It offers great coverage and feels so light on the skin, almost like you’re not wearing anything at all. I also like the packaging, it’s very sleek. I started using a new concealer this month – the Hard Candy Glamouflage in Ultra Light ($6) – and I’m really impressed with how well this covers my dark circles. I’ve noticed that it does have a tendency to crease under the eyes, so a little bit of a setting powder or concealer primer is necessary.

Eye-wise, I kept things extremely simple. The Maybelline Color Tattoo Leather in Creamy Beige ($6.99) was my eyeshadow of choice, since it’s so easy to put on, requires no tools (so it’s great for throwing on while you’re in the car), and is a color that works for any occasion. I paired this with the NYX Retractable Eye Liner in Black ($4.49) and the L’Oreal Miss Manga Mascara in Blackest Black ($7.99) – both longtime favorites – for an easy, effortless eye look that was super wearable for Spring.

I usually end up with 5-6 different lip products in my makeup bag, which is way too many and I never used them all. This season I decided on just 2 lip colors, and a lip balm. The Nivea Kiss Of Milk & Honey ($2.99) has been one of my favorite lip balms for a long while now. I love how nicely it moisturizes and conditions my lips, getting them ready for my lip color of the day. I decided to stick to one color for my makeup bag, and went with a neutral nude pink. My MAC Creme Cup ($16) was a definite must because I am so obsessed with this lipstick right now, and I also threw in the Maybelline Color Elixir Iridescent in Blush Petal ($8.99) into the mix because it’s a great light gloss but it also looks amazing over Creme Cup.

And that’s what I’ve been carrying around in my makeup bag this Spring! What products do you recommend I have in my Summer bag?
