April 2015 Beauty Favorites

April 2015 Makeup + Beauty Favorites | A Girl, Obsessed
Believe it or not, another month has flown by and it’s time for me to share my favorite beauty products from the month. Who’s ready? Let’s do this. 🙂

April was a fairly casual month for me, makeup-wise. I found myself opting for a little concealer most days instead of worrying about a full face of foundation, powder, etc. Thankfully my skin has been pretty decent lately, so I’ve just been using the NARS Creamy Concealer in Chantilly ($29) to cover up any discoloration and dark circles. I could go on and on about why I love this concealer (in fact, I’m pretty sure I already have), but just know that it’s amazing, covers everything, and blends out to look really natural. Love love love.
Speaking of products I’ve talked about before, the L’Oreal Miss Manga Mascara ($7.99) is making yet another appearance here on the blog. I used this mascara A LOT during April. It’s just the best, I’ve yet to find a drugstore mascara to rival it. Then there’s The Body Shop’s Honey Bronzer ($20), another old favorite that I’ve been reaching for a lot during April. I love how natural this bronzer looks, and it’s been perfect for adding a little extra glow now that we’re getting some more sun. To go along with this bronzer, I’ve been using the Stila Convertible Color Blush in Lillium ($25) for a wash of color. This is one of my new favorites when it comes to cream blushes. The formula is fantastic – super easy to blend and not greasy at all – and Lillium is a gorgeous muted pink that look really natural with my skin tone. I have a feeling this blush is going to show up in a few more “favorites” posts after this. ^_^
After completely falling in love with my first MAC purchase, I knew I had to try one of their lipsticks. I ended up getting Creme Cup ($16) after seeing so many good reviews about it, and I am so glad I did! I think it’s the only lipstick I used all month (definitely my new favorite). The color is the perfect nude pink for my skin tone – not super pinky and bright, but not pale enough to look washed out. Another lip product that I used almost every day in April was the Nivea Raspberry Rose Kiss Lip Butter ($2.99). I love this stuff so much! Not only does it make your lips incredibly soft, but it smells just like raspberry candy. Mmmmm! This is one of my favorite lip butters to use during the spring/summer because it is so fruity and floral. I wish it came in a stick or tube though, I hate having to dip my finger in the pot because it’s a little messy and unhygienic.

The Mario Badescu Rosewater Facial Spray ($7) has definitely been coming in handy with things heating up a bit here. There is no better feeling than spraying some of this on your face after a workout or a hot shower. It’s so cooling and refreshing! While we’re on the topic of hot showers, my last favorite for the month has been a real staple to my shower time as of late. A few weeks ago I picked up a bottle of the Herbal Essences Naked Cleansing Conditioner ($4.99) while at Target and I’ve completely fallen in love with it. I kept hearing about cleansing conditioners, so I figured I would give this one a try since I’ve been trying to take better care of my hair and not damage it with too much shampoo. I’m really loving how this is treating my hair. It feels softer and thicker, and has a bit more texture too it instead of feeling flat and thin. This cleansing conditioner has been working so well that I’ve only been using actual shampoo about once a week!
