Wild Argan Oil Body Lotion from The Body Shop ($12). It’s an absolutely dreamy scent, and the formula is one that’s intensely hydrating without being heavy or greasy. It’s soaks into the skin rather quickly and leaves your limbs feeling so soft and smooth.
Next, I’ll give my lips a little scrub to remove any dry skin. The Fresh Sugar Lip Polish ($22.50) is ideal for nights when you want to give your pout a little extra something. Not only does it gently remove dead skin, but the oils in the scrub also help nourish and moisturize your skin at the same time. So, you’re getting any extra infusion of hydration to your lips (which is pretty essential during this time of year). After rinsing off the sugar scrub, I like to apply a really rich lip balm. The one I’ve been reaching for the most lately is the Nivea Raspberry Rose Kiss Lip Butter ($2.99). It’s a fantastic drugstore lip balm, offering tons of hydration and moisture with a deliciously sweet scent.
After that it’s time to focus on my hands. Being a blogger, they can get a little sore from writing posts every day in addition to the usual daily activities. I like to apply a thick hand cream and give my hands a little deep tissue massage, working out the joints and knuckles of each finger. It’s absolutely heavenly. Right now I’m pretty obsessed with the Vitamin E Hand & Nail Treatment from The Body Shop ($16). You guys have heard me rave about this hand cream before so you know how in love with it I am. It does a great job at not only moisturizing that hands but also adding tons of moisture to the cuticles and nails, which is very helpful to me because my nails can be super dry at times. This is also a thicker hand cream, so you can really work it into your skin while massaging your hands.
The last product I use, and also my absolute favorite pamper item, is a mask – specifically sheet masks. There’s just something so luxurious about them, and I feel like my skin benefits so much from a good sheet mask. Plus, they usually cost around $1 per mask, so you can stock up on several different kinds without breaking the bank. The two masks I’m loving the most right now are Strawberry Yogurt Sheet Masks ($13.70 for a box of 10) and Aloe Vera Facial Masks ($1). I’ll pop on one of these sheet masks for about 10-20 minutes, and flip through a magazine or brainstorm some new post ideas while I’m letting the nutrients from the mask soak into my skin. This is probably my favorite way to unwind and relax, and I wish I could do this little routine every night before bed.
Do you set aside some time every now and then to pamper yourself? What products do you use?
