LORAC Pocket Pro Palette ($15). I had been wanting to try something from LORAC for awhile since I had heard such good things about the brand, and figured this would be a great introductory item.
LORAC Pro Palette – Nude, Pewter, and Espresso. Each shade looks beautiful on it’s own but can also be combined to create gorgeous everyday looks. Nude is a pretty shimmery champagne shade, Pewter is a medium taupe shimmer that I could honestly wear every day just by itself, and Espresso is a gorgeous matte chocolate brown.
When I swatched these colors, I immediately noticed how creamy the powders were. They’re incredibly silky, which makes them super easy to blend – perfect for creating a flawless smokey eye. They also offer great pigmentation, so you don’t have to use much to get the look you’re wanting (aka go easy with the Espresso or you risk looking like a raccoon). This palette reminds me a bit of the Naked Basics palettes from Urban Decay, just with less colors.
I also have to mention the packaging and how much I love it. It’s simple and sleek, which I think is just stunning. The palette has a magnetized closure which I always love, makes me feel a little more secure about tossing it in my makeup bag when it has a magnet keeping the lid closed. It also has a small mirror built in, so this really is the ideal on-the-go eye palette.
I am so so happy that I bought this palette (a steal at $15, how could I pass it up?), and it has quickly become a favorite of mine. I think this would be great for anyone just starting out with makeup or wanting an easy, everyday eye look to keep in their makeup bag. It offers three easy colors to play around with and is prefect for travel.
