Beauty Tryouts #1

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle ($32) – this stuff is absolutely gorgeous! It’s adds just the softest glow to your skin and is how I’ve been achieving dewy winter/spring looks for the past few weeks. To go along with creating flawless, happy skin, I’ve been using the Maybelline Dream Lumi Highlighting Concealer in Ivory ($7.99). I’ve been super happy with this concealer. It gives me great coverage but isn’t heavy or cakey, and it does a great job of highlighting as well as concealing, so you can really get that Kim Kardashian look.
Speaking of the Kardashians (who’s secretly watching the new season that just premiered? *raises hand*), I bought this next product after seeing it on Pinterest as a dupe for Kylie Jenner’s infamous nude lip look (I’ve also heard that it’s a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury lip liner in Pillow Talk). It’s the Rimmel London Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob ($5.99) The color of this lip liner, a rosy medium pink, is absolutely gorgeous. It evens out the color of your lips and makes them look fuller. My only complaint is that I feel like I’m going to go through it quickly since I’m wearing it all over my lips and not just lining them. It’s not a super expensive liner though, so I’m not too worried.
Another product that I’ve mentioned before is the LORAC Pocket Pro Palette ($15). It. Is. So. Good. These three colors are incredibly beautiful and I love wearing them by themselves or layered together for different looks. Espresso, the color that I thought I would like the least, has actually become a favorite of mine. It works great as a liner for a smudged, slightly smokey look, and I’ve also been able to use it to fill in my brows. Bonus points for being a multi-use item!
Lastly, I finally picked up the Stila Convertible Color in Lillium ($25) after seeing it everywhere in the beauty blogosphere. This is one of those products that has become quite the cult favorite in recent years, and I can see why. I’ve yet to use it as a blush, but it’s so lovely as a lip color. It’s one of those gorgeous nude pink colors that can literally be worn with any look, during any time/season. I’m excited to start wearing this as a blush in the spring because I think it’s going to be so pretty for the season.
