Josie Maran Argan Infinity Intensive Creamy Oil ($28). What initially peaked my interest was that this is described as a creamy oil, which I thought was really unique. I like using oils for my body but was a little apprehensive about using them for my face, so I thought this would be a good compromise.
I think the name “creamy oil” really is the best way to describe this product. It comes out of the tube as a very thick, pale pink cream (similar to a petroleum jelly). Once it’s applied though, it turns into a colorless oil that is quickly absorbed into the skin. The oil has a very faint scent, one that I think is quite pleasant. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a rather intense moisturizer (hence the name, haha). I probably wouldn’t recommend it for daytime use. I apply it before bed and wake up to it fully absorbed, but I think if I applied it in the morning it would be too strong and could cause a bit of midday face shine.
I’ve been using this as my facial moisturizer in my evening skincare routine for the past few weeks and I have to say I’m really enjoying it. I’ve noticed a huge increase in richness and hydration to my skin. It feels supple and smoothed out, with no more dry patches. It only takes a small amount to achieve hydrated skin, so this will last me a long time (which is great, considering it’s a little on the pricey side). I also love that this is a multi-use product – I’ve been applying some to my cuticles at night and they’re completely nourished, no more cracking or peeling at all!
Have you ever tried a creamy oil before?
