February 2015 Beauty Favorites | A Girl, Obsessed
Before I say anything else, I have to mention that I bought my first MAC product! A bit late to the party, right? I don’t know how I considered myself a beauty blogger until now. 😉 I am now the proud owner of MAC’s Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle ($32), and I am absolutely IN LOVE with it. I understand now why this is such a cult favorite and why so many beauty bloggers lose their minds over this stuff. It’s the best highlighting powder I’ve ever used – extremely luminizing and glowy.
While at Target several weeks ago, I decided to pick up the Cover Girl truBLEND Liquid Foundation ($9.99) and give it a try. I’m weird with foundations, and never seem to be 100% happy with what I already have so I always feel the need to try a new one. It always comes down to color and coverage for me, I need both to be absolutely spot on or I’m not happy. It’s a vicious cycle. Anyway, I bought this one and I’m really liking it so far. It’s even replaced my L’Oreal True Match foundation that I’ve been obsessed with, mainly because the Cover Girl foundation matches my skin tone just a little bit more (plus the coverage is fabulous).

A lip duo that I’ve been in love with this month is the Fresh Sugar Lip Polish ($22.50) + the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose ($22.50). The oils in the lip polish are so nourishing and really condition the lips, while the sugar crystals are small enough to exfoliate without being too harsh.  And y’all know how much I love the Rose balm. It’s been my go-to lately, I haven’t even been wearing lipstick much at all. Together, these two give my lips the perfect amount of softness and color.

Since it is the season of dry skin, I’ve switched mostly to cream blushes and I’ve really been loving the Stila Convertible Color in Magnolia from the Glow and Behold Set ($29). It’s a gorgeous pinky-brown shade, and I think it’s such a unique color that looks beautiful for this time of year.

And lastly, of course, there is a hand cream. And it’s a dreamy one. The Le Couvent des Minimes Soothing Night Hand Cream ($8) has been my favorite part of getting ready for bed for the past couple weeks. The scent is absolutely heavenly – a combination of acacia and lavender that creates a super intoxicating herbal fragrance. One whiff of this and I’m half-lidded and ready to tuck in for the night. This cream also contains coconut oil, so it’s incredibly nourishing for the skin. Let me tell you, your hands will be so soft after using this. It’s the nicest thing to wake up to (besides breakfast in bed or puppy snuggles).

What have been your must-have beauty products for the month?
