Evening Skincare Routine For Winter

Evening Skincare Routine For Winter | A Girl, Obsessedmy current morning skincare routine, and you guys seemed really interested in it so I thought today I could show you the details of my evening skincare routine. I’m all about using super rich (hydrating) products to allow the moisture to fully soak in while I sleep, so I have a completely different routine of items I use at night.

First off, if I’m wearing any makeup I’ll take it off with these two products. Then to cleanse my face, I use the Camomile Cleansing Butter ($15) from The Body Shop. This is an extremely gentle and moisturizing cleanser, which is perfect for my dry winter skin. It gets my face really clean but leaves it so soft and smooth. After cleansing, I soak a cotton ball or pad in some of the Cucumber Cleansing Lotion ($15) from Mario Badescu. This is actually a really gentle toner, and helps get rid of any extra dirt and oils in my t-zone and also clears up clogged pores for a more radiant complexion.
Once that’s applied, I use some of the Fresh Sugar Lip Polish ($22.50) to scrub away any dead skin on my lips. This scrub is absolutely heavenly – removing dry skin while also nourishing the lips, leaving them soft and smooth. After gently scrubbing, I rinse it off and apply a night cream to my face. Right now, I’m using two different products, depending on what my skin is needing. If my face feels pretty normal, I’ll use the Aveeno Positively Radiant Night Cream ($16.99). It’s a thicker lotion, but not too heavy. I find that it moisturizes my skin well without waking up with a greasy face (I’ve experienced that with other night creams in the past). If my skin is dealing with a super dry spell, I’ve started using the Josie Maran Argan Infinity Intensive Creamy Oil ($28). I’ve only been using this moisturizer for a few weeks, but I’m really loving it so far. It’s a creamy oil, so my skin just drinks it up as soon as I apply it.
The last things I do are to apply an eye cream and lip balm. For my eyes, I’m currently using the Olay Total Effects Eye Transforming Cream ($21.99). It’s an okay eye cream, I’m pretty much just trying to get through the container so as not to waste money. I’m a big fan of drugstore brands when it comes to makeup, but in terms of skincare, I’m starting to question if any of the products really work that well (except for Aveeno, love them). To finish off, I apply a thick layer of a good lip balm. Right now I’m head over heels for the Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment ($25) I talked more about my love for this lip balm here, but just know that when I’m done using the deluxe sample, I’m marching right over to Sephora and purchasing the full size. It’s seriously that good.
And that’s about it for my evening skincare routine! What products are you using right now?
