My last favorite of the month is Katy Perry’s Royal Revolution perfume. My mom gave it to me for Christmas and I’ve been loving it. There is a slight similarity to Katy’s Killer Queen, but where KQ is sultry and playful, RR is light and flirty. Royal Revolution has been such a nice addition to my perfume collection, and I’ve been wearing it almost daily.
Soap & Glory’s Hand Food, one of the best hand creams I’ve ever used. The scent is so pretty and light, and the cream sinks in almost immediately, leaving my hands feeling incredibly soft. I bought the small travel-size bottle in case I didn’t end up liking it, but I’ll definitely be buying the full-size bottle as soon as this one runs out. To keep the rest of my body moisturized, I’ve really been loving The Body Shop’s Wild Argan Oil Body Butter. Y’all know how much I adore these body butters, and the scent of this one is very luxurious. And lastly, my lips have been absolutely saved this month thanks to the Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment. I’ve never seen such quick results from a lip balm before – it’s like my lips are just drinking up every ounce of hydration from this treatment. I like to use this at night before bed, and wake up to brilliantly soft lips.
For makeup, my favorites helped me keep it dewy, light, and winter-kissed. Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty was a big surprise. I was unsure if this would be a color that would work for me or if it would be too bright. Thankfully, this color looks amazing when applied with a light hand. With a little popped onto the apples of my cheeks, it looks like I’ve been outside in the cold for a few hours (which may sound like a weird look to go for, but it’s super cute). Estee once called it the “Snow White blush”, and I couldn’t agree more. To give my skin a bit of a January glow, I’ve been using Benefit’s Watt’s Up highlighter which is so lovely. It blends beautifully and is not super glittery or obvious, so it gives you a really natural looking glow. I like to apply this on the tops of my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, a little on my chin, and the cupid’s bow. To go along with this highlight, I’ve been loving Topshop’s Lipstick in Petal – a gorgeous pale pink that looks fantastic paired with a smokey eye. Some days I wouldn’t even wear any makeup except for this lipstick and a little mascara.
