#shereadstruth

Bible study was always something that I was interested getting involved in, but never knew where to start. There are so many books in the Bible, and so many different topics to cover that it was all kind of intimidating.
Last year, as I was procrastinating messing around on Instagram, I stumbled upon the #shereadstruth tag and was instantly intrigued. What drew me in first was the beautifully designed photos depicting different Bible verses (I’m a sucker for anything pretty). I decided to check out their website and immediately felt so inspired and full of joy – this was where God wanted me to be!

It’s been a little over a year since I started studying the Bible with the She Reads Truth girls, and my life has not been the same since. Mornings (sometimes nights if it’s been a busy day) are now spent with God in prayer and study. I’m learning to be a better person. To be patient. To be simple. To put my faith in God to take care of me instead of always worrying about myself, and using that energy instead to help others and be a blessing to them. I’m learning to be calm and silent… “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10)…and through this simple verse, He has been healing and calming my heart, which has such a huge help with my panic disorder. There is power in prayer and there is power in studying God’s Word, and He is proving that to me more and more each day.
