Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette || Review

I’ve been a big fan of Urban Decay’s Naked palettes for nearly a year now, but the one downside about the is that they’re quite big and rarely ever fit in my makeup bag. It’s because of this very reason that I decided to buy the Naked Basics palette…okay, and yeah, the colors kind of sucked me in. ^_^ I actually blame my mom for this purchase because she bought one and let me test it out and I was instantly hooked.

Let’s start of with the colors. This palette is a set of 6 neutral shadows – 2 light, 2 medium, and 2 dark. This is the ideal palette for everyday wear. You have just enough color options to create a couple different neutral eye looks, and the matte black works great for creating a smokier nighttime look (you can also use the black to line your eyes and make your lashes look fuller). Speaking of matte, this palette includes 5 matte shades (Foxy, Walk of Shame, Naked 2, Faint, and Crave) and 1 satin shade (Venus – Urban Decay calls this a “demi-matte” but I think it’s more of a satin). All six shadows are extremely creamy and blendable. My favorite shades are Venus, Walk of Shame, and Naked 2.
Besides the colors being so fantastic and “must have”, I really love the size of this palette. It’s a little bit smaller than my iPhone, so it fits perfectly in my makeup bag which makes it perfect for travel. As much as I adore my Naked 2 and Naked 3 palettes, I think this one might be my new favorite. I’ve been using it almost daily and have yet to find anything wrong with it. All of the colors are gorgeous and wearable, the size of the palette is perfect, and I am super happy with my purchase!
Have you tried any of the Naked palettes? Which one is your favorite? xo, Mandy
