Pretty In Pink

When it comes to makeup and beauty products, my go-to (and favorite!) color is always pink. It’s the color I gravitate towards the most and the color I feel looks best on me. I like finding new pink products and have a bit of a collection accumulating from the past year.

The Tarte Amazonian Clay Lipstick in Golden Pink is probably my favorite lip color of all time. It’s a beautiful bubblegum pink and I love how it looks with my skin tone. If I’m wanting a lighter shade of pink but something that’s still moisturizing, I opt for the L’Oreal Balm in Pink Satin. It adds a dewy wash of color to my lips that is perfect for the summertime. I’m becoming more and more obsessed with adding a swipe of lip gloss over my lipstick these days, NYX Butter Gloss in Cupcake being my favorite to amp up a hot pink lip. On days where I just want a little bit of glossiness without a whole ton of color, I’ll use my cute cat lipgloss that I got from Forever 21. My favorite thing to rock with a pink lip is a little bit of pink of my cheeks, Too Faced’s Sweetheart Perfect Flush Blush in Candy Glow being my current must-have. It’s honestly the prettiest blush I’ve ever seen. If I’m ever wanting to do a simple pink eye look for the day (or if I’m short on time and trying to do my makeup quickly), I love using the Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal in Inked In Pink. It looks so pretty with just some liquid liner and mascara, and takes less than a minute to apply.
I’ve noticed that my skincare is slowly becoming more pink as well. My two favorite lip care products, LUSH’s Bubblegum Lip Scrub and Nivea’s Raspberry Rose Kiss, are both the prettiest shades of pink (and they smell divine!). Then there’s the Vitamin E Hand & Nail Cream that I put on every night before bed to keep my hands soft, and my Strawberry Yogurt Face Masks from My Beauty Diary – a brand I am seriously falling in love with.
To top off my list of pink products, Juicy Couture’s Couture La La is a summer scent favorite, and Essie’s Fiesta is just a damn pretty nail color. I’m going to be sad to see summer go because I’ll have to put my hot pinks away to make room for the darker, dramatic colors of fall and winter. I’ll find a way to fit pinks in there somehow though, just you watch me. 😉
If you had to pick one color to be your makeup and beauty staple, which would you pick? Do you notice one color that you tend to use/purchase more than others? xoxo, Mandy
