Tokyo In Tulsa 2014

Our hotel was amazing, and it was within walking distance of the expo center where the Con was taking place which was awesome. Days were spent waking up without an alarm, lounging around watching reruns of Real Housewives and anything on HGTV, having lunch in the hotel cafe and meeting famous voice actors, walking around TNT taking pictures of some of the coolest cosplays I’ve ever seen, shopping, and late night chinese takeout. Oh, and I may have jumped into a pool fully clothed. ^_^

One of my favorite parts of the convention was the Artists Alley, a huge warehouse-sized room filled with tables where vendors sell their handmade art and accessories. I was in awe of all of the talented artists all in one room. There were so many cool things to look at, it made it hard not to walk out broke with arms full of new goodies. I did buy this beautiful print of Serena from Sailor Moon though, and this super adorable Pinkie Pie pin. Aren’t they lovely?!

I also made a vlog with some footage from TNT. It’s not very long, but see if you can spot any characters you recognize. ^_^

I’ve already got my pass to go next year, and I’ve decided that I’m going to cosplay for the very first time! I’m really nervous, but it’s going to be so much fun. I need y’all’s help though! I’m going to cosplay Tina from Bob’s Burgers and Kiki from Kiki’s Delivery Service, but I can decide on a third character. It’s between Daria Morgendorffer, Coraline, and Lumpy Space Princess as Duchess Gummybuns.

What do you guys think? Who should I pick for my third cosplay? xo, Mandy
