Easy Ways To Find New Reads This Season

Easy Ways To Find New Reads This Season | A Girl, Obsessed

This post is sponsored by Book Of The Month Club. All opinions are my own.

One of my favorite things to do during the warmer months is read. Whether it's inside with the windows open or laying out by the pool, I absolutely love having a good book to dive into and get lost in for a few hours. There's nothing better than early mornings curled up on the couch with a few chapters and super late nights not being able to put the book down. Every summer I like to create a reading list to work my way through, but it can be a little tough finding new books that are super interesting and worth the time reading. If you find yourself in this same predicament often, here are some easy ways to find new reads you'll actually enjoy.

Book Of The Month Club

One of the easiest ways to find interesting new reads is by signing up for Book Of The Month Club. If you haven't heard of them before, they're a really cool subscription box-style book club that sends you a new book each month. Each month, BOTMC has a panel of judges that select 5 great new books. Selections are announced on the first of the month, and members can choose which book they would like to receive. All plans include 1 hardcover book of your choice each month + free shipping. Membership plans start at $11.99/month, and members can also add up to 2 books to their monthly box for $9.99 each. Being a part of this club makes finding new books to get lost in so much easier, plus I love being able to see which books everyone picks by checking the #bookofthemonth tag on Instagram and Twitter.

Set Up A Book Swap

Another fun way to find your newest favorite book is by getting your friends together and setting up a book swap! Invite everyone over and tell them to bring a few of their recent reads that they loved (and wouldn't mind lending out for a few weeks). Have everyone pile their books all in one area, and then let each of your guests pick a book or two that sounds interesting to them. You can even take this a step further and wrap each book in brown paper with just the summary written on the front (this is a great way to keep people from literally judging books by the covers, haha).

Read Through Someone's Book List

One thing I've done before to discover new books is to read my way through someone's book list. Oprah's Book Club is one that always comes to mind when I think of reading lists. It seems like nearly every other book she's picked has become either an overnight best seller or a huge feature film, so I think it's safe to say she knows how to pick 'em. If you'd prefer something a little less biased, there's always the New York Times Best Sellers List. I've found some incredible books by searching this list, and it's constantly updating with new discoveries. One of my personal favorite book lists is Amazon's Best Books of the Month. They suggest so many incredible reads, and even have them all broken down into specific categories so you can find exactly what you want.
